As mentioned in the earlier post about Bret Hart’s interview, he had done an interview here in the UK before his one with The Score. Bret was interviewed by UK newspaper the Daily Star’s Patrick Lennon, and was featured on UK wrestling TV talk show “Wrestle Talk TV”.
I in fact watched the video live, I’m not exactly sure if it’s broadcast outside the UK. The interview itself was very interesting, I think any interview that involves Shawn or Bret talking about Montreal is always interesting. And it was during this interview that Hart’s comments, have sparked controversy and a little criticism among fans.
I enjoyed the overall interview if I’m honest I’m a fan of Bret as well as Shawn, although I did have mixed reactions while watching. One of the main topics discussed, was of course probably one of the most talked about events in pro wrestling to date the “Montreal Screwjob”. Both have their views on the situation, and fans will always be split down the middle either supporting Bret or Shawn.
I of course support Shawn, but hey I’m a fan of his aren’t I?
I respect Bret and everything he’s done in his career, and I respect the fact the guy is entitled to his opinion. But while watching the interview, I could tell even though he has admitted to forgiving Shawn I still feel their is some bitterness deep within (I could be wrong). I mean personally after 15 years, I think it’s time to really let go now. But then again it’s easy for anyone who wasn’t involved to say that, I wasn’t their so maybe it is harder than we think to let go.
I certainly recommend watching this interview, it’s very interesting whether your a fan of Hart’s or not. The interview is split into various parts on YouTube, and are easily accessed.
